Personal security

Our 'Personal Security' training (HEAT light) is a one-day course enabling participants to assess, mitigate and handle the threats they may face. The training consists of the following elements:

  • Understanding the national security situation and local context
  • Awareness of threats, likelihood, hotspots and vulnerabilities
  • Personal security preparedness and mitigation measures
  • Knowing best practise responses and worst case scenarios
  • Live scenario simulations of responses to robberies, carjackings, kidnappings, assault, shooting and active shooters
  • Mandatory tests + handover of certificates

Personal & organisational security

Our 'Personal & Organisational Security' training is a two-day course enabling participants to both fully adapt their organisation's security setup and handle the various threats they may face. The training consists of the following elements:

  • Understanding organisational security policies, plans and SOPs
  • Abiding by personal and group security responsibilities
  • Security communication and reporting
  • Understanding the national security situation and local context
  • Awareness of threats, likelihood, hotspots and vulnerabilities

On-the-job capacity building

Our on-the-job capacity building delivers mentoring sessions for staff with security management responsibilities at their own office or field mission. Mentees are guided in performing day-to-day security tasks and sound decision-making. The sessions can consist of:

Live drills and stress tests

Our live drills and stress tests lets organisations gain first hand experience with handling emergency and extreme stress situations through simulations in their own natural operating environment. The simulations can consist of:
